Our Fun Run and Walk is a vital fundraiser for Riverview Park and Zoo. We remain passionate and committed to raising funds and supporting this year’s important goal: improve our Aviary exhibit for all our bird species!
Costumes are strongly encouraged! Dress up as your favorite feathered friend, or another (speedy!) animal of your choice.
Help us reach our fundraising goal and register today – only 500 spots available!
The cost for medals is included in the registration fee. Medals will be available for all registered participants.
New bird-themed buffs available for purchase on race day!
Specially designed, bird-themed neck gaiters will be available for purchase on race day. All proceeds go towards our aviary improvements.
Registered Racers can pick up their Race Kits in advance at Riverview Park and Zoo Rotary Education Centre:
- Thursday June 27th 5pm-7pm
- Friday June 28th 5pm-7pm
or on Race Day:
- Saturday June 29th 7am-8am

8:10 - Yoga Team will lead racers in Group Warm Up Gazebo
8:25 - 1 km Runners get ready at Starting Line
8:30 - 1 km Race Begins
9:00 - 1 km racers pick up medals
9:10 - 5 km Racers get ready at Starting Line
9:15 - 5 km Race Begins
10:00 - 5 km racers pick up medals
Both washrooms and parking are available on site but limited. Please note, it is going to be a busy day at the Riverview Park & Zoo. If possible, please carpool, take the bus, walk or ride your bike if you can.
Light snacks of apples and granola bars will be provided post race. Water wagon will be on site to refill your re-usable water bottle. Coffee will also be provided.
